Early in 2017, I was able to go on assignment with Holt international to parts of China I had only read about. Tiayueng is remote, COLD and rural area of terraced farmlands, apple orchards and trees that grow a small pepper like fruit that is used to spice foods with a flavor we commonly associate with szechuan cooking. This video shows one aspect of the region that brings Holt International all the way out there. Families that live in caves. Not because these are primitive or prehistoric people, rather, they are so poor, this is all they can afford. This video is built using a combination of stills and video footage.
