You have a fancy camera, you must be really good...
Umm, not always true.I liken it to this analogy; I could be holding a Stradivarius violin, but not have the foggiest idea how to play a violin. It will sound like herniated goat when I play. So, how do you become the master of the camera you do have? Consider the phone that is next to you. It is a great little camera! Compact, fast and convenient. Some of my best pictures have come from my phone not because I thought all the options and settings, but because I just took the shot. I recommend this article from Eric Kim Photography, "How to take better photos on your phone." In this article, you can get a lot of different pointers that help you even look at your photography differently as well as your camera on your phone as a capture tool.
